Terms and Conditions

General

 

“We” are Ashlea Unsworth trading as In The Meadow Floral Design (“Florist”)“You” are the customer purchasing Goods and/or Specified Goods from us (“Client”)

 

Consultation and quotation

 

Following your free consultation , the florist will send the client a no- obligation quote which breaks down the final cost. This quote is valid for 30 days from the date of the quote. Please note that your wed-ding date will not be held unless you have paid a booking fee.

 

Floral Services

 

The florist agrees to provide the floral services specified in the quote above and incorporated herein by reference (the "Services"). The client, shall provide the florist with all necessary information to enable the florist, to perform the services.

 

Payment Terms

 

The client agrees to pay the florist, the total amount specified in the services. A deposit of 20% of the total amount shall be due upon execution of this Agreement. A further 40% of the overall fee shall be due on or before (6 months prior to the event date). The remaining balance shall then be due on or before (6 weeks prior to the event date). All payments shall be made in British Pounds by bank transfer.

 

Rental items

 

If any rental items are provided by the florist, as part of the services, the specific items and rental fees shall be detailed in the services. The client is responsible for the care and safekeeping of all rental items from the time of delivery until they are returned to or collected by the florist. The client agrees to reimburse the florist, for any loss, theft, or damage to rental items occurring during the rental period, up to the full replacement cost of each item.

 

Pickup and deliveries

 

The florist shall deliver all floral arrangements and rental items to the event location specified on Page 1 of the Agreement on the Event Date. The exact delivery time shall be coordinated between the florist, the client and the venue, to ensure timely setup and installation. In the event the client requests pickup of any items after the event, the client shall provide the florist with sufficient notice, and additional charges may apply. The florist shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to items left unattended after the event.

 

Additional charges

 

In the event that any additional services are requested by the client, or any unforeseen circumstances require additional labour, materials, or transportation, the client, shall be responsible for any additional charges incurred as a result. The florist will notify the client, in advance of any additional charges whenever possible and obtain the clients written approval for such charges.

 

Changes and Cancellations

 

Any changes to the Services must be requested in writing by the client, and approved by the florist. If the changes result in additional costs, the client agrees to pay such costs. In the event of cancellation by the client, the deposit shall be non-refundable. If cancellation occurs within 6 weeks of the event date, the client shall be responsible for payment of the full amount specified in the services. In the unlikely event that the florist is unable to attend on the agreed date, the florist will be responsible for arranging an alternative florist, or team of florists, to execute the creation of the clients bespoke design on the agreed date. This will be at no additional cost to the client.

 

Allergies and Flower Preferences

 

The client shall notify the florist of any allergies or sensitivities that the clients guests may have to certain types of flowers or greenery. The florist shall make reasonable efforts to avoid the use of any flowers or greenery that may cause an allergic reaction. Additionally, the client may inform the florist of any specific flowers or colours that they do not wish to be included in the floral arrangements. The florist shall make reasonable efforts to accommodate these requests, but cannot guarantee the availability or suitability of certain flowers or colours

 

Substitutions

 

The florist reserves the right to make substitutions of equal or greater value in the event that the specified flowers or materials become unavailable due to circumstances beyond florist's control. The florist will make every effort to maintain the overall style, theme, and colour scheme of the arrangements as agreed upon with the client.

 

Photographs & videos

 

The florist reserves the right to take photographs and videos of the venue, flowers and setting prior to the wedding in order to use in a promotional capacity. Please note these will not be published by the florist until the event has finished.

 

Design Credit

 

When sharing images of florals created by In The Meadow on social media, we require to be credited for the work. Our Instagram handle is @inthemeadow_floraldesign

 

Liability

 

The florist accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to the client or any third party with regard to any equipment hired for the event. The florist’s liability for any claim, whether based on breach of contract, negligence, or any other theory, shall not exceed the amount paid by the client under this Agreement. In no event shall the florist be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits or revenue. Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this Agreement due to circum-stances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, or governmental actions.

 

Acceptance of terms & conditions

 

Payment of the 20% non-refundable deposit is taken as acceptance of the above terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. For any major changes you will be notified via email.
